Glad they got the deal done. Gives him the ability to really prove himself this season and try to earn a better deal next season. Fantastic value for this season for CBJ imho. When he was healthy i felt like he was often our steadiest Dman last season.
I'd like to see him and Savard on that second pairing, possibly. Murray is a better stay at home Dman than JMFJ was and I think it could free Savard up a little bit. Murray makes such underrated first passes. I will never understand the negative feelings some people have for him. Injuries suck, but hardly his fault.
